Andrei Isaychev and Anna Knyazeva Cleared of Prohibited Association Charge
Updated: Nov 22, 2021
Three Russian track-and-field athletes appealed against the national anti-doping panel decision to sanction them for 'Prohibited Association' with a Russian banned coach Vladimir Kazarin under Art. 2.10 of the 2019 Russian Anti-Doping Rules.

On 6 April 2021, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) set aside the first-instance national decisions in respect of Andrei Isaychev and Anna Knyazeva and upheld the ban imposed on Rudolf Verkhovykh. The main issue in all three cases was whether RUSADA properly investigated the potential violation and whether the athletes' rights were respected before and after the charges were brought against them.
